As we step into 2026, Texas Center for Lifestyle Medicine is recommitting to what we do best: empowering you with the education, tools, and community support needed to transform your health from the inside out. This year, we're diving deep into all things lifestyle medicine—from the fundamentals of nutrition to the complex interplay between chronic conditions, behavioral patterns, thought processes, and belief systems.
We believe that true healing happens when we address not just symptoms, but the root causes that shape our daily lives. Whether you're just beginning your wellness journey or you've been with us for years, we have something meaningful in store for you.
At the end of every month, Ruben, our registered dietitian, will be hosting a live cooking and nutrition class specifically designed for those living with dysautonomia. If you've attended before, you know how helpful these sessions can be. Members consistently share how hopeful they feel after learning practical strategies that make healthy cooking accessible, even on difficult days.
In these classes, you'll discover tips for maintaining proper posture while cooking, strategies to make meal prep simpler and quicker to avoid prolonged standing, and creative ways to organize your kitchen space to prevent flare-ups from overexertion. Living with dysautonomia means walking a delicate balance—maintaining a healthy lifestyle without overdoing it. Ruben is excited to continue this series, propelling you toward a sustainable, nourishing cooking routine that supports your goals and honors your body's needs.
Geny Moreno, Gardner Mack, and Ruben Lespron are continuing their acclaimed Fasting Reset Program, a medically supervised fasting experience designed to support stem cell regeneration, cellular cleanup, and metabolic, immune, and hormonal benefits. What sets this program apart is the comprehensive medical oversight. Our team is with you every step of the way, ensuring you fast safely while maximizing the potential benefits.
Throughout the program, Geny will teach you nervous system regulation tools to help your body feel safe and supported during the fasting process. Ruben will guide you through nutrition planning and provide expert tips for breaking your fast in ways that support your digestive system and metabolism. This isn't just a fast—it's a reset for your entire system, guided by practitioners who genuinely care about your wellbeing.
Dr. Ruan will be continuing his powerful group programs throughout the first quarter of 2026, each offering a unique space for learning, connection, and healing.
Dysautonomia Group (Tuesdays): This well-established group meets every other Tuesday morning and has become a cornerstone of community support for our dysautonomia patients. Members share tips, strategies, and lived experiences in a space that welcomes both newcomers and longtime patients. What makes this group truly special is the depth of wisdom that emerges when people at different stages of their healing journey come together. It's not just educational—it's a community-focused, encouraging touchpoint that many members look forward to each week.
Unboxing You Group (Wednesdays): Every Wednesday morning, Dr. Ruan explores how our subconscious thinking patterns shape our behaviors and teaches how to integrate ancient healing strategies into modern daily life. This group is for anyone ready to look beneath the surface and understand the deeper forces driving their choices and habits.
Root Causes of Memory Loss & Brain Training (Fridays): Join us Friday mornings for an ongoing exploration of brain and mental health. Each week brings a new topic focused on protecting your memory, improving mental health, increasing longevity, and implementing practical strategies for cognitive wellness.
Geny Moreno, our mind-body medicine practitioner, will continue hosting her deeply impactful eight-week program: Mind-Body Skills for Transforming Trauma. This extensive group program provides a safe, non-judgmental container for addressing unresolved trauma—something nearly all of us carry, whether it's "big T" or "little t" trauma.
The science is clear: when we don't have safe ways to process and release trauma, it gets stored in our bodies. This isn't your fault. Most of us were never taught emotional regulation skills in school. Yet these unprocessed experiences become the blueprint for how we navigate life, often keeping us from reaching our fullest potential and achieving the outcomes we desire.
Geny is honored to create this safe space where members support one another through a guided, evidence-based trauma-releasing series. Trained under some of the greatest practitioners in mind-body skills—including tai chi, breathwork, and qi gong—she brings both expertise and deep compassion to this work.
While you'll learn the intellectual foundations of these skills, the true goal is embodiment: putting emotional and physiological regulation into practice. This can initially feel uncomfortable, especially if you're used to living on autopilot or in fight-or-flight mode. Rest assured, Geny is highly trained in trauma-informed care and coping strategies.
Important Note: Geny requires an initial one-on-one visit before joining this group program. This ensures your expectations are clear and that you're ready for this transformative journey. Depending on where you are in your healing process, other therapeutic modalities may be recommended first. Please reach out to our office to schedule your consultation with Geny.
We're thrilled about the incredible year ahead. In addition to these ongoing programs, we're collaborating with guest speakers and developing new offerings, including men 's-focused groups, diabetes support programs, and a wide range of educational content.
This is just the beginning. Continue to check back for our updated schedule and group visit calendar. We're building something special here—a community dedicated to true, lasting transformation through lifestyle medicine.
Here's to your health, your healing, and a remarkable 2026.
